"I specialise in treating people with neck, shoulder and back pain. Those with aching muscles, muscle tightness and the general feeling of 'inflexibility'. Also people with chronic pain and immobility and those recovering from surgery (including scar tissue massage).
Like every treatment, it is as individual as you are."
About Me
I specialise in the treatment of people with neck, shoulder and back pain,Tennis/Golfers' elbow, those recovering from surgery (including scar tissue massage). I work specifically on the releveant muscle groups that are restrictign joint movements. The deep muscle stretch treatment is graded according to each person so that it is safe and suitable for you. Everyone has a different pressure to enable the muscles to be stretched.
My treatments involve a concise case history of your medical conditions, an examination of the areas of concern
eg back, neck followed by a safe massage targetting specifically those muscle groups that concern you.
Each treatment has the option of medicial acupuncture to be included in the treatment at no extra cost. It is completely up to you if you so wish to have it, provided you meet the safety criteria
I specialise in postural advice and different techniques that you can use to minimise further neck/shoulder/back problems from reoccurring and some simple muscle stretch exercises. We go through sleep/computer/sitting postions to reduce the pain and to encourage better body alignment.
After your treatment you will feel warm over the areas massaged and 'looser'. You will be more posturally balanced and will hold yourself in a more naturally 'comfortable' position.
I trained for 3 years in osteopathy in the 1980’s at the British School of Osteopathy in Trafalgar Square, London, studied diplomas in therapeutic massage, anatomy and physiology and then aromatherapy, qualifying in 1999. In 2011 I qualified as a Massage and Cancer Practitioner (Dip) and in 2015 as a Medical Acupuncturist and then an advanced medical acupuncturist. I have 13 years hospital experience within a physio department.
Clients are treated in my Langton Green Studio. In certain circumstances home visits can be arranged.
I am passionate for the wellbeing of others and I learn so much from every person I treat. I believe if you 'maintain' your body through clinical massage you'll improve it's longevity. Not only will you feel physically better you will feel mentally better too.
